our journey
Our History
JLC started as a prayer...
On New Years Eve 2020, in the midst of a national lockdown due to a global pandemic, Pastor Aaron, Faith and their son, Ben, sensed God was leading them to a new ministry. Just as 2021 was ringing in, they prayed a prayer of commitment to the Lord to follow His lead. Little did they know what that prayer was leading them to, for there were others sensing the same leading of God to do the same. A long story short, 10 people came together with the same heart, mind and prayer to commit to something on the horizon. Discovering we have all been on a journey that led us to this point in time, we decided to meet for the first time via Zoom on Sunday, 14 February - Valentine's Day (what a way to remember!).
As the lockdown restrictions began to lift, we began to meet in our back gardens, on walks in the hills, and then in each other's homes. We came to a full understanding that meeting around a table for a meal and fellowship was just as important if not more important than meeting in a building once or twice a week.
As of July 2021, we have been blessed to gather together on Sunday mornings at The John Alker's Club in Flixton, Greater Manchester. We look forward to journeying with you!
